Man, 70, killed after motorcycle hit by Navarra pickup

DIGOS CITY — A 70-year old man died shortly after the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a pick-up truck along the national highway in Sta. Cruz town, Davao del Sur on Tuesday, Oct. 8, yet.

Esperidion Ordaneza Villanueva, a resident and former village chair of the village of Sinaragan in Matanao town, was driving his motorcycle when a Nissan Navarra pickup bound for Davao City hit his vehicle at 6:24 pm in Sta. Cruz town, said Capt. Mary Grace Martinez, Sta. Cruz police chief.

Villanueva was rushed to the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital in Digos City where he was declared dead on arrival. The driver of the Navarra pickup has surrendered to police./TSB
