MANILA, Philippines — Senator Imee Marcos is praying for a miracle as her family awaits the decision of the Supreme Court on the election protest filed by her brother against Vice President Leni Robredo.

Her brother, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., has a pending protest before the SC sitting as Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

“Todo dasal (We’re praying harder),” Imee said in an interview at the Senate on Tuesday when sought for comment on the reported impending decision of the PET.

“Ang Patron Saint po ng Ilocos Norte e La Virgen Milagrosa. May himala. Mali si Nora Aunor,” she added in jest in an apparent reference to the veteran actress’ famous line in a movie.

Asked how her brother feels about the possible decision of the PET, Imee simply said that her brother is a kind and quiet person.

“Hindi katulad ko na nagrereklamo. Wala, tahimik lang, tiis-tiis lang. Todo tiis lang yun,” she added.

(He does not complain like me. He’s just quiet. He’s very patient.)

Imee said they already got tired of waiting for the outcome of the poll protest that they no longer talk about it at home. /je
