1 dead in six-vehicle collision in Mandaluyong City
MANILA, Philippines — A motorcyclist was killed after she figured in a collision with five other vehicles along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City Saturday.
The Mandaluyong City Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Grace Ann Pajemago.
Initial investigation showed that prior to the collision, a passenger jeepney driven by Wilfredo Gigante Paylan, lost its brakes while traversing the Edsa-Shaw flyover to Pasig City. Without brakes, the jeepney lost control and slammed into the other vehicles, said police.
Police said Pajemago was killed after her motorcycle was pinned between the jeepney and and a sports utility vehicle.
Paylan is now under the custody of the Mandaluyong Police Traffic Unit. /muf
