Glitch stalls LRT-1’s Monumento – Roosevelt operations
MANILA, Philippines – The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) halted operations from Monumento to Roosevelt station Thursday morning due to mechanical issues.
In a Twitter post, LRT-1 management said it could only ferry passengers from Monumento to Baclaran terminals and vice versa.
It assured commuters that the problem is already being checked by its technicians.
“We would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” the LRT-1 said.

As of 8 a.m., LRT-1 management added that there is a heavy volume of passengers in the following stations: Yamaha Monumento, 5th Avenue, R. Papa, Abad Santos, Blumentritt, Tayuman, Bambang, Doroteo Jose, and Edsa (northbound) /gsg
