3 Bulacan drug suspects slain in 3 hours

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, BULACAN — Three drug suspects were killed in separate buy-bust operations in the province within three hours, police said on Wednesday.

Police Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, said Teodorico Perez, Roy Manabat and Edward Liban exchanged gunshots with policemen during the anti-narcotics operations.

Perez was killed in Norzagaray town about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday while Manabat was shot dead in Bustos town at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday.

Liban was gunned down in Norzagaray at 9:45 p.m., also on Tuesday.

Seized from the slain suspects were 35 sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth), two .38-caliber guns and a .22-caliber firearm.

Bersaluna said 33 other people with standing warrants of arrests for various crimes were also arrested in their Simultaneous Anti Criminality Law Enforcement Operation. Carmela Reyes-Estrope/lzb
