CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS –- Four suspects were killed in clashes with the police during drug operations conducted on Friday (Sept. 20) and Saturday (Sept. 21) in the City of San Jose del Monte.

At 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, undercover policemen shot dead Eugenio Lopez and two accomplices identified only as Van and Jay following a shootout in Barangay San Rafael. The suspects reportedly fired first after realizing they were trapped in a police sting operation, said Police Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director.

On Friday, John Frederick Mallo fired at undercover agents and was killed during a 1:40 a.m. drug bust in Barangay Gaya-gaya.

All four suspects allegedly peddled shabu (crystal meth), based on sachets recovered for evidence during the operations. Carmela Reyes-Estrope/lzb
