MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Nimfa has slowed down over the Philippine Sea and is forecast to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility Saturday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, Pagasa said “Nimfa” was spotted  620 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 75 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

The state weather bureau said the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will trigger occasional light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains in Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Occidental Mindoro between Friday and Saturday.
