Philippine Air Force reshuffles key posts
Senior officers from the Philippine Air Force on Wednesday assumed key positions after a major reshuffle in the service branch.
Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Rozzano Briguez led the joint change chief of office ceremony at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City, said PAF spokesperson Maj. Aristides Galang in a statement.
The revamp of top positions follows the retirement of Air Force vice commander Maj. Gen. Nicolas Parilla early September.
Maj. Gen. Pelagio Valenzuela, former chief of air staff is now the vice commander; while Maj. Gen. Glicerio Peralta, former commander of Tactical Operations Command (TOC), was designated as chief of air staff.
Maj. Gen. Joselito Ramos, former commander of Air Education Training and Doctrine Command (AETDC) is the new commander of TOC. His deputy from his former post, Brig. Gen. Ferdinand Cartujano, was appointed as the new commander of AETDC.
Article continues after this advertisementCol. Teofilo Bailon, former commander of 300th Air and Intelligence Security Wing, was named as the new deputy commander of AETC. Col. Romeo Jerome Derilo would serve as the acting 300th AISW commander.
Brig. Gen. Elpidio Talja, former commander of 520th Air Base Wing, was named as the new deputy commander of TOC. He would be replaced by Brig. Gen. Arthur Cordura.
