Truck hits, kills 84-year-old woman in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines — A 84-year-old woman was killed after getting hit by a truck while crossing Amang Rodriguez Avenue in Pasig City on Friday.

According to the Pasig City Police, Bella Gamboa was crossing the avenue when she was hit by a Fuso tractor head with trailer driven by 29-year-old Jetro Tuyor at 3:50 p.m.

Police said that after being hit, Gamboa was then ran over by the truck. Gamboa was pronounced dead at 4:26 p.m. that same day at the Pasig City General Hospital where she was rushed for emergency treatment.

Tuyor is now detained at the Pasig Police Station as a complaint for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide is being prepared against him.  /muf
