Palace condemns ambush of ex-Pangasinan Gov. Espino
MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang condemned on Thursday the ambush of former Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino Jr. and assured the public to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Espino survived the attack after assailants opened fire at his Toyota Land Cruiser in Barangay Magtaking in San Carlos City at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

One of Espino’s police aides was killed during the ambush while the former governor was taken to a hospital in San Carlos City.
Espino and four other bodyguards were wounded but are now recovering at the hospital, Panelo said.
“We condemn this felonious act as we believe that any unjustified killing has no place in a civilized society like ours,” Panelo said.
