DID YOU KNOW: 1,092 HIV cases recorded in May 2019

In May, there were 1,092 new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases recorded nationwide, according to the Department of Health.

The figure was higher compared to the 950 cases recorded in the same month in 2018.

Of the new HIV cases in May this year, 53 deaths were reported. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
