Lacson confronts BuCor exec allegedly ‘jamming’ with drug lords
MANILA, Philippines — Senator Panfilo Lacson confronted Monday an official of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) reportedly “jamming” with Chinese drug lords inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
At the hearing of the Senate committee on justice, Lacson asked BuCor’s legal chief, Frederick Anthony Santos, point blank if he was using drugs.
“Have you ever used drugs?” Lacson said.
When Santos answered no, the senator asked him again: “Not once in your lifetime..? Baka makakuha kami ng ebidensya… pakita ko baka lying ka na naman.”
“No sir,” the lawyer said again.

“This is our fourth hearing. Each time that we conduct a committee hearing, we’re being lied to at least once. We’re being lied to each time by our resource persons,” he said.
And to prove this, Lacson asked documents section chief Corrections Staff Sgt. Ramoncito Roque if he knew where witness Yolanda Camilon lives.
Camilon earlier claimed paying Roque P50,000 in exchange for her husband’s release which the latter denied.
When Roque answered yes to his question, Lacson noted how the official changed his answer last week.
“Baka nalito lang ako…” Roque said.
“That’s a very basic information for you to forget… Yung basic na tanong na ganun, hindi ka pwedeng makalimot eh, ” Lacson retorted. /kga
