Driver shot dead in Muntinlupa City
MANILA, Philippines — A driver met his violent death after two gunmen onboard a motorcycle shot and killed him while he was onboard a car in Muntinlupa City on Monday morning.
The Muntinlupa City Police identified the 39-year-old victim as Donney Apostol, a truck driver, who was onboard a Toyota Vios parked in front of a store of a subdivision waiting for his cousin when two gunmen onboard a black motorcycle suddenly appeared and shot him at about 7:15 a.m.
Investigators have yet to determine what kind of firearm or caliber the armed men used in the killing.
The gunmen escaped the scene after consumating the crime, police said in its report.
One of Apostol’s neighbors brought the victim to the Muntinlupa Medical Center, but was declared dead on arrival at about 7:46 a.m.
Police are investigating the incident. /jpv
