Pajo, USPF eye finals slots

OLD RIVALS Pajo National High School and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation will try to set up a finals showdown as they take on different opponents in the semifinals of the 9th Shakey’s Girls V-League today at the Aznar Coliseum.

Pajo, the reigning champions, will be facing off against the Mandaue City Comprehensive High School while USPF takes on the St. Theresa’s College. Game time is set at 9 am.

Pajo and USPF made short work of their opponents at the end of the elimination round yesterday. USPF destroyed MCCNHS in straight sets, 25-18, 25-15. Pajo on the other hand, registered another win in even more convincing fashion, winning over the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 25-4, 25-2.

STC also got another win to gain momentum heading to today’s crucial match as they won over the Don Gerardo National High School, 25-14, 25-19. In other results, Southwestern University closed out their campaign on a high note as they got past DGNHS, 25-23, 25-22./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
