Teen shot dead in Lapu-Lapu

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was shot dead by two unidentified men while he was playing computer games in a mini Internet cafe in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

The boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

The house where the shooting happened is owned by Lourdes Carilla. A portion of the house was converted into a mini Internet shop.

Police said a 17-year-old customer and an 8-year-old boy who was sleeping in a room beside the shop were hit by  stray bullets. They were rushed to the hospital.

Police said two men barged inside the Internet shop at dawn yesterday and suddenly shot the boy. The assailants’ faces were covered with cloth, said police.

Police said the assailants also fired a shot at another boy but missed. The boy was able to run outside the shop.

Police said revenge could be the motive of the attack as there were reports that the victim was involved in several theft cases in the barangay.
