Palace hails Cabinet’s record-high rating
MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang welcomed in the Cabinet’s new record-high net satisfaction rating and said that it is a reflection of the dedication of President Duterte’s official family.
A Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Tuesday showed that the Cabinet’s net satisfaction rating rose from “good” at +44 in March to “very good” in June of this year with a new record-high of +51.
In a statement Thursday, Duterte’s spokesman Salvador Panelo noted that “it is the first time that a Cabinet received a ‘very good’ rating in recent memory.”
“To the Cabinet members, this survey is important as it is demonstrative of the sentiment of the Filipino people, indicating that they are starting to experience a working government that addresses their welfare,” Panelo said.
“The Office of the President attributes this to the hard work and dedication of the members of the President’s Cabinet, as well as to the support being rendered by their respective staff, in undertaking actions to fulfill the directives of the Chief Executive,” he added.
Panelo said the survey results should urge Cabinet members to “continue performing their jobs with dedication and efficiency as they deliver genuine change for the benefit of our nation during the remainder of the President’s term.” /gsg
