93-year-old woman’s wish to be arrested so she can ‘feel naughty’ is granted
A grandmother who has “never done anything bad in her life” was arrested by police last Saturday, June 22, to fulfill her request.
Following the arrest in Manchester, United Kingdom, the 93-year-old’s granddaughter, Pam Smith, took to social media to thank the officers involved and share photos of her grandmother’s “arrest” experience.
The grandmother was apprehended, complete with handcuffs, and brought to a holding room. Smith said the Great Manchester police department had made her grandmother “very happy” by granting her unusual request.
“A big thank you to @gmpolice for ‘arresting’ my Gran Josie today. She is 93 years old and her health is failing, and she wanted to be arrested for something before it’s too late. She has a heart of gold and thoroughly enjoyed it today. Thank you for granting her wishes,” Smith said via Twitter on the same day.
Hello, I'm glad our officers could help out, looks like she got the full experience! Give our best to Josie and I'll try and pass your message back to the officers who kindly helped out.
