Pangilinan wants Locsin charged for calling Robredo ‘boba’

MANILA, Philippines — Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. should be charged for calling Vice President Leni Robredo “boba” (stupid).
Opposition Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said this on Tuesday, a day after Locsin insulted Robredo on Twitter for her comments on the cancellation of diplomatic passports of former foreign affairs secretaries.

The country’s top diplomat then immediately apologized for his remark.

Despite this, Pangilinan strongly condemned Locsin for disrespecting the Vice President.
Pangilinan said Locsin’s behavior violates Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
“Napaka ‘unprofessional’ ang kanyang pangiinsulto at panlalait at dapat siyang makasuhan at managot,” he said. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
