Oil firms raise diesel, gas prices

MANILA, Philippines — Pump prices of oil products went up for the second straight week after attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman sent crude oil prices rising last week.

Petron, Shell, Seaoil, PTT, Total, Unioil and Phoenix announced price hikes of 55 centavos per liter for diesel and 30 centavos per liter for gasoline effective at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

The price of Dubai crude oil reached $62.20 per barrel on June 20 after dropping to a five-month low of of $57.54 on June 12. —Ronnel W. Domingo
