/ 08:01 PM June 20, 2019

ILIGAN CITY—A village chair accused of raping a village employee surrendered to police on Thursday (June 20) after a warrant of arrest was issued for him.

Joel Jumawan, 42, chair of Barangay San Miguel here, was accused of raping the village park sweeper, 43.

Jumawan denied it, saying he surrendered to clear his name and following the issuance of an arrest warrant for him. DIVINA SUSON (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
