Motorcycle rider dead in Isabela road mishap

CITY OF ILAGAN, Philippines — An 18-year-old motorcycle rider died after he was hit by a car along the national highway here on Wednesday, police said.

The victim, identified as Kyle Lawrence Balisi, died on the way to the hospital after his motorcycle was sideswiped by a speeding car driven by Daniel Abenojar, 47, a resident of Capellan village here, at about 1:30 p.m.

Police Capt. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson, said the victim was thrown off his motorcycle due to the impact of the collision which happened in front of the Manaring Elementary School.

The car also rammed a truck after hitting Balisi’s motorcycle, police said. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
