Driver hurt after vehicle falls off Legazpi seaport
LEGAZPI CITY –– A driver was trapped and rescued in a vehicle which fell off Legazpi City’s seaport into the waters Monday morning.
Lt. Col. Aldwin Gamboa, chief of the Legazpi City police, said that when Josefina Thomas, 55, of Barangay Pawa, was about to park her Ford Everest, it accidentally sideswiped another car parked at the port.
Thomas was then trapped inside her vehicle when it fell into the seawater at 8:20 a.m.

“The bystanders rescued the driver (Thomas) of the submerged vehicle. It took them almost five minutes,” Gamboa said.
