MANILA, Philippines — Pump prices of diesel decreased for the second successive week, this time by P1.05 per liter of diesel and P1.70 per liter of gasoline as the United States’ widening trade war with China drove crude oil prices down.

Petron, Shell, Seaoil, PTT Philippines, Total and Caltex announced the price changes, effective 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Phoenix reduced gasoline prices by P1.75 per liter from noon of June 1.

Petron, Shell, Seaoil and Caltex also reduced prices of kerosene by P1 per liter.

The price of Dubai crude oil settled at $69.51 per barrel on May 29 from $70.50 per barrel on May 22. —Ronnel W. Domingo
