LEGAZPI CITY – Fishermen recovered 39 blocks of suspected cocaine in the waters off Gubat town in Sorsogon on Monday, police said.

The suspected cocaine were placed inside 12 boxes and were found by Melvin Gregorio, Loubert Ergina, and John Mark Nabong off the coast of Barangay Bagcacay at around 12 noon, said Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police.

It was turned over to the police crime laboratory for testing.

Anti-narcotics authorities said the recovered suspected cocaine has a street value of P207 million. (Editor: Julie Espinosa)
