2 DLSU grads share top spot in CPA licensure exam
MANILA, Philippines — Two graduates of De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila topped the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given in May 2019, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said Monday.
Josemaria Alvaro Cabarrus Fontillas and Geraldine Jade Frayco Papa topped the list of passers, both of them scoring 89.83%.
They were among the 1,699 who passed the exam out of a total 10,319 takers.
Following the two DLSU-Manila graduates are:
Leinard Jan Corres Zaspa from the University of Mindanao – Davao City: 88.50%
Eric Saavedra Dolera from Saint Joseph’s College – Maasin: 88.17%

Article continues after this advertisementDLSU-Manila is the only school this year with at least 50 examinees and with a passing rate of at least 80%.
PRC said 61 of the 72 examinees from DLSU-Manila passed the exam, giving the school a passing percentage of 84.72%.
PRC said the date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the successful examinees will be announced later.
