Motorcycle rider killed in Catbalogan City
ORMOC CITY, Philippines — A motorcycle driver was killed after he was run over by a six-wheeler truck at around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday in Barangay San Vicente, Catbalogan City.
Lt. Col. Douglas A. Eloja, chief of the Catbalogan City Police, identified the victim as Wilfredo Batica, 53.
Based on the police investigation, the victim tried to overtake a truck when he lost control of the motorcycle and was hit by the truck’s tires.
The truck driver, identified as Marlie Deguit, was brought to the Catbalogan Police Station for further investigation. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
