ICE WORKER KILLED AT TABOAN MARKET

AN ice plant worker was shot dead by an unidentified assailants in the Taboan public market in Cebu City.

Ruel Dandan, 38, died on the spot from a gunshot wound in the head.

No clear motive was established yet by the police.

The two men approached Dandan and suddenly shot him.

2 COUSINS NABBED FOR DRUGS

A 32-YEAR-OLD woman and her 17-year-old cousin were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Poblacion, Argao town, southern Cebu.

Riza Comaling and the boy were arrested outside the town’s public market last Wednesday night.

Police said Comaling was arrested after handing a pack of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.

The boy was the one who accepted P500 in marked money, said police.

Police said seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,500 and P200 cash were seized from the woman’s possession.

A red Yamaha Crypton motorcycle with plate number YT-7428 boarded by two cousins were also seized by police.

The two were detained at the Argao police station while waiting for the filing of charges against them.

Insp. Alejandro Batobalonos, chief of the Argao police, said the Department of Social Welfare and Development, has given them the go signal to charge the boy.
