25-year-old man shot dead in Makati City
MANILA, Philippines — A 25-year-old man was shot dead by still unknown gunmen in Makati City Thursday night, police said on Friday.
According to police, the victim identified as Jason Manlaot was walking along Obrero Street corner Antipolo Street in Barangay Poblacion around 10:40 p.m. when two motorcycle-riding gunmen suddenly appeared.
Police said one of the gunmen alighted the motorcycle and shot the victim in the head and body before escaping the crime scene.
Police Major Gideon Ines, deputy chief of the Makati City police, told INQUIRER.net that the victim, who sustained two gunshot wounds, died on the spot.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators of the crime. /jpv
