Edsa, C-5 Road to undergo repairs, reblocking starting Friday night

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Edsa and C-5 Road will undergo reblocking and repairs starting Friday night until Monday morning, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In an advisory on Friday, the MMDA said the following road sections will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11 p.m. Friday (April 26) until 5 a.m. Monday (April 29):

Southbound:

1. Edsa New York – Aurora Boulevard (1st lane from sidewalk)

Northbound:

2. Edsa fronting Baliwag Transit to New York Street (1st to 2nd lane from the sidewalk)
3. Edsa 50 meters after Magallanes MRT to KM 29 (outer lane)
4. C-5 Road fronting SM Aura (middle lane)

The MMDA said all affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday.

The agency advised motorists to avoid the affected areas and use alternate routes instead. /jpv
