PRC: 1,600 electrical engineers, 2,093 master electricians pass licensure exams

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday released the results of the electrical engineering licensure examinations given earlier this month.

According to the PRC, 1,600 out of 2,548 registered electrical engineers and 2,093 out of 3,728 registered master electricians passed the exam.

Christian Yecyec Cahig from the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology and Clark Sigmund Rabano de Castro from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) topped the exam with a rating of 93.5 percent, followed by Renzie Aldritz Pingol from Tarlac State University with a rating of 92.25 percent.

For master electricians, Kenneth Martija Bolima and Aldwin Plata Mercado, both from De La Salle University – Lipa, scored the highest rating at 94 percent.

UPLB was hailed as the top performing school in the Registered Electrical Engineer exam with 100 percent passing rate, followed by the University of Batangas (97.06 percent), Mindanao State University – General Santos City (96.43 percent), and Cagayan State University – Tuguegarao (95.65 percent).
