MMDA: Major road repairs in Metro Manila this weekend

MANILA, Philippines — Major thoroughfares in Metro Manila will undergo repairs and reblocking from Friday night until Monday morning, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In an advisory on Friday, the MMDA advised motorists to avoid the following roads from 11 p.m. Friday (April 12) until 5 a.m. Monday (April 15):

Southbound

Edsa New York before Monte de Piedad (1st lane from the sidewalk)

Northbound

C-5 Road in front of SM Aura
Edsa between White Plains – Gate 4 (2nd lane)
Edsa 50 meters after Magallanes MRT to KM 29 (outer lane)

The MMDA said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be conducting the repairs and reblocking.

The agency also assured that the affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday. /ee
