Fetus found in garbage dump in Binondo

MANILA, Philippines — A fetus was found at a garbage dump in Binondo, Manila on Tuesday morning.

Police said the fetus was discovered at the corner of Tomas Mapua and Ongpin Streets in Binondo, Manila at 8:30 a.m.

Ariel Galura, 30, a security guard at nearby Blulane Hotel, said he had earlier seen a woman in the area carrying a disposable plastic bag.

As it turned out, the bag contained a fetus, estimated to be 4 to 5 months old.

The incident is still under investigation by the Manila Police District Homicide Section. /atm
