Makati’s Lawton Avenue closed March 28 to 30 for Binay’s proclamation rally

Makati's Lawton Avenue closed on March 28-30 for Binay’s proclamation rally

MANILA, Philippines — Lawton Avenue in Makati City will be closed to motorists from Thursday (March 28) to Saturday (March 30) to make way for the proclamation rally of Makati Mayor Abby Binay and her local ticket on Friday.

The Makati Public Safety Department (MPSD) in a statement on Wednesday said Lawton Avenue would be closed from 7 a.m. on Thursday (March 28) to 6 a.m. on Saturday (March 30).

The proclamation rally would be held from 3 p.m. onwards at the stretch of Lawton Avenue from Kalayaan Avenue to J.P. Rizal Extension in Barangay Northside, Makati City.

The city safety department advised motorists to take the following alternative routes:

Going to BGC:

From J.P. Rizal Street (area of East Rembo and West Rembo), turn left to Sgt. Fabian Yabut Street in Guadalupe Nuevo towards Kalayaan Avenue. Then make a U-turn at the corner of EDSA/Kalayaan Avenue and turn right to 32nd Street.

From Barangays Poblacion and Guadalupe Viejo, turn right to West Cloverleaf to EDSA Southbound, then turn left to McKinley Avenue.

From EDSA-Mandaluyong, head straight to EDSA-Ayala Avenue Intersection then turn left to McKinley Street.

Going to Guadalupe (along J. P. Rizal Ave. extension):

From Pateros, turn left at the Kalayaan/Buting Intersection, then turn right to Sgt. Fabian Yabut circle and follow the usual route to the destination.
