Pagasa: Ridge of high pressure area to bring warm weather in Luzon
MANILA, Philippines — A huge portion of Luzon will be affected by the ridge of a high pressure area bringing warm weather, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.
Pagasa weather specialist Meno Mendoza said Mero Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.
Mendoza added that no weather disturbance is expected to develop inside the Philippine area of responsibility in the following days.
On Friday, Pagasa declared the start of the dry season in the country.
The dry season signals the end of the northeast monsoon or “amihan” which has the easterlies and the ridge of a high pressure area as its dominant weather systems. /muf
