BI: Mayor on ‘narcolist’ has no derogatory record

MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has confirmed that one of the local officials included in President Rodrigo Duterte’s narcolist has been allowed to leave the country Tuesday evening.

Mayor Crisinciano Enot Mahilac of Sinacaban, Misamis Oriental left for Singapore Tuesday evening with his family at about 8 p.m. onboard Tiger Air flight TR391.

He was initially questioned by the BI personnel but eventually allowed to leave.

The “narcolist” contains names of politicians allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade. Duterte has made public 46 names.

While authorities say that cases have already been filed against the politicians on the list, such information has not been reflected on the BI’s records.

“No derogatory record for him,” Immigration Spokesperson Dana Krizia Mengote Sandoval said in a text message.

The mayor and his family have return flights to Manila after two days. /cbb
