Provincial board secretary shot dead by 3 gunmen in Bukidnon

MANILA, Philippines — A provincial board secretary was gunned down by three unknown gunmen in the municipality of Maramag in the province of Bukidnon.

Authorities identified the victim as 45-year-old Roland Lacson, a board secretary of the provincial government and a resident of P-3B, Magsaysay, Brgy. Kuya in Maramag.

According to the police, Lacson was heading to Brgy. Kuya with his father and nephew when three unnamed suspects onboard a white Toyota Fortuner shot five times at the victim and fled right after.

A gunshot wound in Lacson’s head led to his death. He was then brought to the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital for postmortem examination.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Bukidnon is now conducting an investigation into the incident in coordination with the Maramag Municipal Police Station. /je
