Singsons welcome Hugpong bets in Ilocos Sur

VIGAN CITY— Ilocos Sur political patriarch Luis Chavit Singson welcomed here senatorial candidates of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), which continued its campaign sortie in this city on Monday.

The former governor was also accompanied by Ilocos Sur Gov. Ryan Luis Singson, Ilocos Sur Representatives Eric Singson and Deogracias Victor Savellano, and other local officials in receiving presidential daughter and HNP founder/chair Sara Duterte-Carpio, who is also mayor of Davao City, and her group here.

Some 10,000 people reportedly attended Monday’s political event in this city.

Among HNP senatorial bets who were present in the event here were reelectionist senators JV Ejercito and Cynthia Villar, former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino, former senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla, former chief of police Ronald Dela Rosa, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, journalist Jiggy Manicad, and Maguindanao Rep. Dong Mangudadatu.

Carpio raised the hand of the incumbent Ilocos Sur governor, who is seeking reelection as HNP’s official candidate in the province.
