QC buy bust yields over P3 M shabu, 4 suspects arrested

MANILA, Philippines — Anti-drug operatives seized more than P3 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from four suspected drug traffickers who were arrested in a buy-bust operation inside a hotel in Quezon City on Thursday.

Police identified the suspects as Ruby Balani alias Belle, Joshua Salazar alias Kalbo, Mary Jane Duran alias Beng, and Mineya Amorine alias Aira.

The suspects were believed to be drug traffickers in Metro Manila and nearby cities and provinces.

Police said the four were arrested during the bust at the hotel along E Rodriguez Avenue in Brgy. Dona Imelda, Quezon City at around 2:30 a.m.

The suspects yielded a total of 250 grams of shabu with a street value of P3,536,000, police said.

Police said the four suspects and the seized evidence were brought to the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit for further investigation and proper disposition.

According to police, the arrested suspects will be facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act Of 2002.  /muf
