MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or “amihan” which is responsible for the nippy weather being felt in some parts of the country, will also bring light rain on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Surigao Provinces, Aurora and Quezon will also experience cloudy skies with light rain.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Pagasa said no flashfloods or landslides are to be expected with the effect of the northeast monsoon.  /muf
