Driver hurt in truck-tricycle collision in Laguna

CALAMBA CITY – A tricycle driver was hurt after a dump truck hit his vehicle in this city before noon Tuesday.

The injured was identified as Lorenzo Bernas, a resident of Barangay Pansol, here.

Senior Supt. Eleazar Matta, Laguna police chief, said in a text message, that the accident happened along the national road in Pansol around 11:30 a.m.

He said the truck, driven by Longino Cabonialda was coming from the road’s opposite direction when it suddenly counter-flowed and hit the tricycle.

Bernas suffered injuries and was rushed to the J.P. Rizal Memorial Hospital, here, while Cabonialda was taken into police custody. Kimmy Baraoidan, Maricar Cinco, @inquirerSLB,
