Tail-end of cold front to bring rains, thunderstorms over Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — The tail-end of the cold front will continue to affect portions of Mindanao while the northeast monsoon (amihan) will affect the Luzon and Visayas regions, the weather bureau said on Sunday.
The Northern Mindanao and CARAGA province will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of cold front, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 a.m. bulletin report.
Possible flash floods or landslides may be experienced by residents in the said areas because of scattered to moderate and at times heavy rains, the bureau added.
Meanwhile, the whole Visayas region will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains but due to the northeast monsoon.
Pagasa also said that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the same weather system.
No significant impact was forecasted over the Visayas and Luzon areas.
