The suspect sensed he was transacting with a policeman which prompted him to open fire at the lawman, according to a report from the Northern Police District (NPD) on Monday.

Police said a brief firefight ensued as the operatives retaliated, killing the suspect on the spot.

Police recovered from the crime scene a caliber .38 revolver, two bullets, three sachets of suspected “shabu,” and P2,000 cash used as marked money. /cbb
