MPD announces affected roads for ‘Liga Independencia Filipina’ event

Several roads in Manila will be affected by the Liga Independencia Filipina: Conferencia ng Inang Bayan from Nov. 29 to 30, the Manila Police District (MPD) said on Thursday.

The event, which will gather members of the Liga Independencia Filipina, will be held at 3 p.m. at the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta, Manila.

MPD said the affected roads are Roxas Boulevard, South Drive, Independence Road, Katigbak Drive and Bonifacio Drive.

It also advised motorists to take Taft Avenue as an alternate route during the event.

The Liga Independencia Filipinas is throwing their support for President Rodrigo Duterte and his programs for the country. The group will also highlight the event with a candle lighting ceremony to “protect the President.” /jpv
