Telco logistics manager robbed of car in Pasig City
MANILA, Philippines—Car thieves struck again in Pasig City on Sunday, victimizing the logistics manager of a telecommunications company and taking away his Honda Civic Car in broad daylight.
The victim, Warren Ermac, 41, of Smart Communications, and resident of Barangay (village) Oranbo, Pasig, went to the police station on Sunday afternoon to report the robbery that happened just in front of a fast-food chain around 9:30 a.m.
According to a report submitted to the Eastern Police District headquarters, Ermac had parked his pearl white Honda Civic 2007 with plate number ZKE133 in front of a fast-food chain along Shaw Boulevard to buy food for takeout.
When he was about to board his car, two men in casual clothes armed with handgun appeared and declared holdup.
At first, the victim thought the robbers only wanted his money. But when he was ordered to hand them over the key to his car, he fought off the robbers.
The victim threw the key to the doorway of the fast-food chain and grappled for the gun, which one of the robbers was holding.
