Security tightened at Veterans’ hospital

MANILA, Philippines – Despite the extension granted by the Pasay regional trial court Branch 112 for former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s stay at St. Luke’s Medical Center, security at the government-owned Veterans Memorial Medical Center has been tightened Monday, a 990AM report said.

The report said that with the security measures doubled inside the hospital, members of the media were barred from entering the hospital by security guards.

Reporters were forced to wait outside the hospital gates, it added.
