Road rerouting in BGC, Taguig areas for Xi visit — MMDA
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Tuesday the rerouting of roads inside the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and in Taguig City during the two-day state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The MMDA said some roads inside the BGC and Taguig will be closed for 30 minutes whenever Xi passes through to go to and from the Shangri-La hotel at the BGC where he will be staying during his two-day state visit.
The agency did not specify which roads will be closed but advised motorists heading to the BGC to take the following alternative routes:
1.) Motorists who are going to BGC from the South Luzon Expressway should use the C-5 Road.
2.) Those coming from Makati to the BGC should use Edsa then take Kalayaan Avenue.
3.) Motorists going to the BGC coming from the terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) should also Edsa and turn right to Kalayaan Avenue to their destinations.
