Amid complaints over long queues, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has decided to transfer the distribution of  fare matrices to jeepney drivers in the National Capital Region (NCR) to its central office.

LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra, however, insisted that the agency is “prepared a week before” the start of the influx of drivers to its NCR regional office.

Delgra said he met with division heads assigned at the LTFRB NCR regional office to address the congestion issue.

“So we’re transferring the distribution of the fare matrix for NCR to the central office, which will have a much more space starting today until we will be able to distribute and release all the fare matrix for Metro Manila,” he added.

Data from the LTFRB shows that a total of 6,360 fare matrices have been distributed to jeepney drivers in the NCR, Regions 3 and 4, and at the central office.
