Typhoon ‘Rosita’ makes landfall in Dinapigue, Isabela
Typhoon “Rosita” (international name “Yutu”) made landfall in Dinapigue, Isabela, at 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
Moderate to heavy rain is expected over Northern and Central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Rosita slammed into Isabela, packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 210 kph. It was moving westward at 20 kph.
The provinces of Isabela, Quirino, Northern Aurora, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Mountain Province, and Pangasinan were placed under Signal No. 3.

Batanes, Babuyan group of Islands, Rizal,
Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas, Bataan
and Cavite were under Signal No. 1.
The typhoon will track through Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet and La Union. It is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday. /cbb
