3 killed, 1 hurt in Isabela road accident

SAN AGUSTIN, Isabela—- Three persons were killed while another was critically hurt after the tricycle they were riding was hit by a van at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 17).

Senior Supt. Mariano Rodriguez, Isabela police director said Jelson Andres, 36, driver of the tricycle, and his passengers Romnick Mateo and Rolando Dulay were declared dead on arrival at a hospital.

Another passenger identified as Sammy Vidad, was also rushed to a hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

Initial police investigation showed that the tricycle was cruising along the Nemmatan village road when it was hit by the green Hyundai Starex van driven by Victor Abarra, 47.

The tricycle was totally wrecked, police said.  /muf
