MAN FOUND DEAD IN LAPU MOTEL

A 60-YEAR-OLD man was found dead inside a motel room in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, last Wednesday night.

Rodulfo del Napoles of sitio Humay-Humay, barangay Gun-ob, was declared dead when he was rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital.

Napoles checked in at Queensland Motel with a female companion.

Motel worker Alfred Villaruben told police that around at 10:05 p.m., Del Napoles’ companion called the motel’s reception desk to inform them that they would be checking out.

Villaruben went to the room where he saw the woman asking for help after her companion was found unconscious in the comfort room.

Police said the woman helped bring the man to the hospital but she suddenly disappeared.

Police said there were no signs of foul play in the man’s death.

GIRL ACCUSES UNCLE OF RAPING HER

A 15-YEAR-OLD girl in Talisay City, southern Cebu, accused her uncle of raping her several times.

The girl said her uncle has been raping her in the last eight years.

The girl was left under the care of his uncle and her auntie.

She said her uncle would rape her when her aunt is not around.

The uncle has yet to be arrested but rape charges in relation to child abuse have been filed against him, said Insp. Margeneatte Yosores, chief of the women’s and children’s desk of the Talisay City. CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC

MAN NABBED IN LAPU RAID

A MAN was arrested when police allegedly found packs of suspected shabu in his house during a raid in barangay Saac-BUaya, Lapu-Lapu City.

Lito Casio, 37, however, denied owning the four medium packs and three small packs of suspected shabu that were allegedly seized from his house.

The raid was based on the search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Marilyn Lagura-Yap.
